1. Create an order, choose the teeth and the restoration type and material.

4. Export the design to your mill or printer.

Install and first run

• Hardware (minimum): quad-core 3.3 GHz Intel Core i5, 16 GB RAM, Nvidia GeForce GTX 1050 with 2 GB, a 500 GB drive and a 22-inch 1080p screen. Recommended: Core i7-8700, 32 GB RAM, GTX 1660 Ti and a 1 TB drive.
• Licence: purchased licences come on a dongle or as a licence key. For a trial, generate a request file in the License Generator and email it to Dental Wings. The key works only on the same PC, Windows user and network adapter it was generated for.
• Internet: a broadband connection is needed for online help, updates, remote support, DWOS Connect and DWOS Synergy.
• Updates: the log-in screen shows whether a newer version is available. You can also update from Settings.
• Gotcha: Dental Wings lab scanners are not in scope for Windows 11. Keep scanner PCs on the supported Windows version.

Limitations

• It is not free. The installer is public, but full use needs a purchased licence. Trial licences are issued on request, and the request may be passed to your local distributor first.
• It is Windows-only.
• Dental Wings’ own product pages now point to Straumann Group Digital Solutions, and the downloads page has not listed a newer release than 2023.2.1. Check with your distributor that DWOS is still sold and supported in your region.
• Order files are only backward-compatible to a certain extent, so keep the software updated.
• DWOS is not intended for use in direct contact with patients. It is a design tool for trained dental professionals.
