DentiqGuide is dental implant planning and surgical guide design software for Windows from 3D Industrial Imaging (3DII) in Seoul, South Korea. It is aimed at implant dentists and dental labs: you load a patient’s CBCT scan and an intraoral or model scan, align them, trace the nerve canal, place implants against a planned crown, and design a surgical guide that can be exported as an STL file for 3D printing.

There is no product called “DentIQ Plan Free”. If you searched for Dentiq planning software, DentiqGuide is the real program. It is shareware (conditionally free): the vendor lets you download a free version and use it temporarily without a licence, but exporting or printing the design output requires the full, paid version.

How dental teams use it

Planning a single implant with a printed guide

1. Register the patient and create a case.
2. Load the CBCT and the intraoral scan, then align the two data sets.
3. Remove the missing tooth virtually and place the planned crown.
4. Draw the arch curve and mark the nerve canal; check the panoramic view.
5. Place the implant from the library under the crown and check bone and nerve distances.
6. Design the guide and export the STL and drilling protocol for printing (full version).

Clinic and lab collaboration

1. The clinic takes the CBCT and intraoral scan.
2. The clinic plans in DentiqGuide, or sends the data to a lab, or to the vendor’s own design service.
3. The lab or vendor returns the guide design; the clinic reviews it before surgery.

Evaluating before buying

1. Install the free version and open the demo case (CBCT and scan data) that the vendor provides.
2. Go through the full workflow to see whether it fits your implant system and scanner.
3. Buy a licence only when you need to export or print a real case.

Install and first run

• Windows only. Windows 10 or 11, 64-bit. There is no macOS version.
• Hardware. 16 GB RAM, 8 GB free disk space, and at least an Intel Core i3 dual-core (Core i5 quad-core or better recommended). A dedicated NVIDIA or AMD graphics card with 4 GB or more is recommended; the AI functions need at least 2 GB of video memory.
• Implant library. The implant library is a separate download on the vendor’s site; install it so your implant system appears in the planning tools.
• Licensing. The paid version is activated either online with a web licence tied to your DentiqSolution account or with a USB dongle on one PC.
• Manuals. The vendor publishes manuals in English and Korean and tutorial videos alongside the software.

Limitations

• The free version cannot export or print the design, so it cannot produce a guide for a real patient.
• Windows only.
• The vendor’s website marks some AI automation (automatic fixture selection and guide area generation) as coming soon.
• No public changelog or release dates for versions.
• The official website does not state FDA or CE status. Check the regulatory status with your local distributor before clinical use, and verify every plan yourself.

DentiqGuide vs alternatives

Dentsply Sirona Simplant is a long-established implant planning system with a free viewer for opening shared plans. exocad’s exoplan implant planning software works inside the exocad ecosystem, which is sold through resellers (see our page on exocad).
